Time To Do What I Do Best: Lose

Image
Well I'm up from my down, mentally anyways, I'm ready to take the month by storm and get back to doing what I do best, losing weight. This month I'm plotting a return to the gym, getting things situated with my bank and checking account and getting back to it (wasn't until writing this that I thought it was  odd that I wasn't even slightly bit nervous at the prospects of going back after such a long hiatus, then I asked myself if I should be, and now I slightly am) . I'm no longer going to buy food I know will be harmful for my goals, like those cookies. I plan to be active even when I go over to my friends, Ill take a dog for a walk or something I'm also going to start taking my food scale and stop eating fast food when I'm over there also, or if I do make it something sensible, if guilt comes into the equations I shouldn't have it. No slacking on my water, I did that plenty of times last month.Watch more movies because that's been fun. Get ba...

Got To Get Up Off That Grey Line

An interesting week is certainly about to unfold. It will be my first time going to the gym solo, I believe earlier in the year I even admitted that having a friend to go with certainty helped  to ease a bit of the anxiety (abit). This is like wiping the slate clean all over again, so I'm quite anxious but also excited about what frequent visits to the gym could mean for my journey. The plan is to do my dumbbell workouts even on days that I go to the gym, that's the plan anyways, I'm still not sure how that whole squat , and floor thing will work out but we shall see. The rest of the weeks agenda will be to make sure I'm eating enough, or frequently enough to compensate for the added activities. Certainly make sure I stay hydrated. Just for fun, since I enjoyed watching that movie last week, I really think I should watch a few movies this week. Or maybe read, apparently a certain someone has read nine books, but in literally a year I have not finished the one I star...

The Golden Girls

Today was a mild day, had my appointment with the dermatologist. They were packed, I've never seen their office full like that before, in fact, the nice older ladies next to me made the same comment, apparently they had been waiting awhile. Somehow the older ladies  next to me made the experience a nice one, in fact the only anxiety I had was when thinking about being called back, and having to walk in front of that sea of people. There was something very charming about the older ladies next to me, I could tell they had been  friends a very-very long time, they were cracking jokes, and just having some lovingly banter that I truly enjoyed. I remember one asking "I wonder if they serve lunch" I just giggled,I enjoyed that little gem like it was the prized punchline of a seasoned comedian, and then I thought, that's what I'd like, to grow old some day and to have friends to accompany me to appointments or wherever, to keep things fun and interesting. It seemed as ...
